NIST National School of Sciences is a premier education institution, which was established in 1993. It is situated at Lainchour, strategically important location in the Kathmandu valley, and is one of the constituent institutions under the NIST Foundation.

The school has been conducting Plus 2 programme (Grade 11 – 12), now Upper Secondary school classes, both in Science and Management for the last three decades. The school follows the national curriculum under the National Examination Board (NEB), Nepal. The school management is planning to introduce other courses in Law, Arts and Humanities in Grade 11–12 in the near future while the ultimate goal is to provide the continuum of education from Pre–school to Grade 12 under the National School of Sciences within the next few years.

Bhaktapur NIST School

BHAKTAPUR NIST School formally know as Millennium International Academy,was established in 2000 AD as an associate of NIST Foundation. It has a long–standing successful history with its alumni serving in different professions across the world.

It is an inclusive and co–educational school situated at Lokanthali, Bhaktapur, a very ideal location in terms of accessibility. It is a full–fledged high school offering classes to students from Play–group to Grade 12 (Twelve) with representation from diverse cultural background, race, religion, sexual orientation, etc. The school follows the national curriculum under the National Examination Board (NEB), Nepal, and the medium of instruction is English except for Nepali subject in all grades. Currently, the school offers classes for Science and Law stream in the Upper Secondary i. e. Grade 11 and 12, and there are plans afoot to introduce classes on Management and Humanities streams as well in the future.

Patan NIST

National Institute of Science (NIS), LALITPUR NIST, formerly known as PATAN NIST, is a premier education institution, which was established in 1994. It is situated at Balkumari, strategically important location in the Lalitpur, and is one of the constituent institutions under the NIST Foundation.

The school has been conducting Plus 2 programme (Grade 11 – 12), now Upper Secondary school classes, both in Science, and Management for the last three decades. In addition to these streams, the college has successfully conducted the first year for the Law students. The school follows the national curriculum under the National Examination Board (NEB), Nepal. The school management is planning to introduce other courses in Arts and Humanities in Grade 11–12 in the near future while the ultimate goal is to provide the continuum of education from Pre–school to Grade 12 under the National Institute of Science within the next few years. The NIST Foundation was initiated by a group of scientists and academicians.

NIST College

The NIST BANEPA was established in 2012 AD as an expansion of NIST National School of Sciences situated at Lainchor, Kathmandu. It had a humble beginning with very few students and teaching staff a decade ago that has now become a premier academic institution in the region in a short span of time.

It has its own academic buildings with ample space that creates a positive academic environment, and is situated in a serene and secluded area on the side of Nala Road, Naya Basti, the north of Banepa that is only 1.5 kilometers from the main city. Under the NIST BANEPA, there are two different schools – NIST school and NIST College. The prime objective behind the establishment of NIST BANEPA has been to provide quality education in the region so that students do not have to travel to the capital city that is more congested, noisy and relatively expensive.
